Fall 2022 Semester Summary

During the Fall 2022 semester, from September 1 to December 31, 2022, Inclusive Campus Support received a total of 31 experience forms. Most (84%) of the experiences submitted during the fall semester were identified as occurring on campus, 10% occurring off campus and 7% occurring online.

Awareness of Inclusive Campus Support and its functions affects the number of experience forms received and means that raw numbers of experience forms must be interpreted with caution (i.e., a higher volume of experiences submitted does not necessarily signal a higher volume of experiences occurring). In the following section, the 31 experience forms received during Fall 2022 semester are explored in greater depth.

Of the 31 total experience forms received, most experience forms were submitted during the months of October 2022 (68%) and November 2022 (19%). Overall, most (94%) of the campus climate experiences received are “concerning” (vs. “helpful”).

  • Sixty-four percent of consultations were focused on proactive planning whereas 36% of peer support consultations were focused on a campus climate experience.
  • Peer support consultations for campus climate experiences were focused on accommodations, building concerns, and verbal comments.
  • Peer support consultations for proactive planning focused on academic concerns, classroom environment, climate assessment, communication, department committees, search communities, strategic planning, student organizations, and peer institutions inquiries.
